Our approach to bodywork varies by individual;  we strongly believe that one standard approach will not be the best way to meet the needs of a specific client.  We listen to each client's individual issues before the initial treatment, and get an update before starting each bodywork session.  We also "listen" carefully to what a client's body tells us through touch and working signs during the bodywork session.  The location of noticeable pain or discomfort are often just the symptoms, while the underlying cause lies somewhere else in the body.  We tailor and adjust each session to the specific needs of that client at that time.
Sports Therapy and Chronic Pain relief sessions are somewhat different.  These sessions are more interactive, as the client and therapist work together.  After listening to the client's description of his or her muscle symptoms, the therapist will often use some massage and Zero Balancing techniques to explore where the underlying issues are.  Using the Muscle Release Technique®, we can draw on specific stretches combined with massage to lengthen and release muscle tightness and interior scar tissue.  We can also show you specific Active Isolated Stretching exercises you can do at home, to continue to improve releasing the muscle tightness and prevent recurrence.
